Michael Lau<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_0410_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>John 14:16-31 (NIV)<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-NIV-26685\" class=\"text John-14-16\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">16&nbsp;<\/sup>And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate&nbsp;to help you and be with you forever\u2014<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26686\" class=\"text John-14-17\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17&nbsp;<\/sup>the Spirit of truth.&nbsp;The world cannot accept him,&nbsp;because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-26686c\" data-link=\"[<a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-26686c&quot; title=&quot;See footnote c&quot;>c<\/a>]&#8221;>[<a title=\"See footnote c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+14&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-26686c\">c<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;in you.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26687\" class=\"text John-14-18\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18&nbsp;<\/sup>I will not leave you as orphans;&nbsp;I will come to you.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26688\" class=\"text John-14-19\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19&nbsp;<\/sup>Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.&nbsp;Because I live, you also will live.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26689\" class=\"text John-14-20\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20&nbsp;<\/sup>On that day&nbsp;you will realize that I am in my Father,&nbsp;and you are in me, and I am in you.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26690\" class=\"text John-14-21\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21&nbsp;<\/sup>Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.&nbsp;The one who loves me will be loved by my Father,&nbsp;and I too will love them and show myself to them.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26691\" class=\"text John-14-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Judas&nbsp;(not Judas Iscariot) said, \u201cBut, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26692\" class=\"text John-14-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus replied,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cAnyone who loves me will obey my teaching.&nbsp;My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26693\" class=\"text John-14-24\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24&nbsp;<\/sup>Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26694\" class=\"text John-14-25\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cAll this I have spoken while still with you.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26695\" class=\"text John-14-26\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26&nbsp;<\/sup>But the Advocate,&nbsp;the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,&nbsp;will teach you all things&nbsp;and will remind you of everything I have said to you.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26696\" class=\"text John-14-27\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">27&nbsp;<\/sup>Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.&nbsp;I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled&nbsp;and do not be afraid.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26697\" class=\"text John-14-28\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">28&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cYou heard me say, \u2018I am going away and I am coming back to you.\u2019&nbsp;If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father,&nbsp;for the Father is greater than I.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26698\" class=\"text John-14-29\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">29&nbsp;<\/sup>I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26699\" class=\"text John-14-30\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">30&nbsp;<\/sup>I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world&nbsp;is coming.
