{"id":960,"date":"2022-02-27T21:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-27T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=960"},"modified":"2022-02-15T22:07:05","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T22:07:05","slug":"sermon20220227","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20220227\/","title":{"rendered":"NO HappyMeal for Daniel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span hidden=\"\">NO HappyMeal for Daniel<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"sermonNotes2022\">\n<div class=\"sermonInfoTitle\">2022 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: Daniel 1:8-17<br \/>\nSpeaker: Dr. Clement Yeung<\/div>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_0227_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>Daniel 1:8-17<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Dan-1-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8 <\/sup><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-21746\" class=\"text Dan-1-8\">But Daniel resolved not to defile&nbsp;himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21747\" class=\"text Dan-1-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9&nbsp;<\/sup>Now God had caused the official to show favor&nbsp;and compassion&nbsp;to Daniel,<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21748\" class=\"text Dan-1-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10&nbsp;<\/sup>but the official told Daniel, \u201cI am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-21748c\" data-link=\"[<a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-21748c&quot; title=&quot;See footnote c&quot;>c<\/a>]&#8221;>[<a title=\"See footnote c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Daniel+1&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-21748c\">c<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;food and drink.&nbsp;Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age?
