When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, \u201cLord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.\u201d<br \/>\n2He said to them, \u201cWhen you pray, say:<br \/>\n\u201c\u2006\u2018Father,<br \/>\nhallowed be your name,<br \/>\nyour kingdom come.<br \/>\n3 Give us each day our daily bread.<br \/>\n4 Forgive us our sins,<br \/>\nfor we also forgive everyone who sins against us.<br \/>\nAnd lead us not into temptation.\u2019\u2006\u201d<br \/>\n5Then Jesus said to them, \u201cSuppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, \u2018Friend, lend me three loaves of bread;6a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.\u20197And suppose the one inside answers, \u2018Don\u2019t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed.
