Paul Lee<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2024_0310_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/><\/audio><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">John 3:22-36 (ESV)<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text John-3-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22\u00a0<\/sup>After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and he remained there with them and\u00a0was baptizing.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26133\" class=\"text John-3-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23\u00a0<\/sup>John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26134\" class=\"text John-3-24\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24\u00a0<\/sup>(for\u00a0John had not yet been put in prison).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-26135\" class=\"text John-3-25\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25\u00a0<\/sup>Now a discussion arose between some of John&#8217;s disciples and a Jew over\u00a0purification.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26136\" class=\"text John-3-26\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26\u00a0<\/sup>And they came to John and said to him,\u00a0\u201cRabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan,\u00a0to whom you bore witness\u2014look, he is baptizing, and\u00a0all are going to him.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26137\" class=\"text John-3-27\"><sup class=\"versenum\">27\u00a0<\/sup>John answered,\u00a0\u201cA person cannot receive even one thing\u00a0unless it is given him\u00a0from heaven.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26138\" class=\"text John-3-28\"><sup class=\"versenum\">28\u00a0<\/sup>You yourselves bear me witness, that I said,\u00a0\u2018I am not the Christ, but\u00a0I have been sent before him.\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26139\" class=\"text John-3-29\"><sup class=\"versenum\">29\u00a0<\/sup>The one who has the bride is the bridegroom.\u00a0The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him,\u00a0rejoices greatly at the bridegroom&#8217;s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26140\" class=\"text John-3-30\"><sup class=\"versenum\">30\u00a0<\/sup>He must increase, but I must decrease.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-26141\" class=\"text John-3-31\"><sup class=\"versenum\">31\u00a0<\/sup>He who comes from above\u00a0is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and\u00a0speaks in an earthly way.\u00a0He who comes from heaven\u00a0is above all.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26142\" class=\"text John-3-32\"><sup class=\"versenum\">32\u00a0<\/sup>He bears witness to what he has seen and heard,\u00a0yet no one receives his testimony.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26143\" class=\"text John-3-33\"><sup class=\"versenum\">33\u00a0<\/sup>Whoever receives his testimony\u00a0sets his seal to this,\u00a0that God is true.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26144\" class=\"text John-3-34\"><sup class=\"versenum\">34\u00a0<\/sup>For he whom\u00a0God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit\u00a0without measure.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26145\" class=\"text John-3-35\"><sup class=\"versenum\">35\u00a0<\/sup>The Father loves the Son and\u00a0has given all things into his hand.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-26146\" class=\"text John-3-36\"><sup class=\"versenum\">36\u00a0<\/sup>Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life;\u00a0whoever does not obey the Son shall not\u00a0see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2024 Church Theme: Ready, Set, Grow: Journeying Together to Build Up the Church Scripture: John 3:22-36 (ESV) Speaker: Rev.
