{"id":1614,"date":"2024-01-21T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-21T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1614"},"modified":"2024-01-25T12:27:32","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T12:27:32","slug":"sermon20240121","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20240121\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking the Path to Glory Together"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sermonNotes2024\">\n<p>2024 Church Theme: Ready, Set, Grow: Journeying Together to Build Up the Church<br \/>\nScripture: Romans 8:18-30 (ESV)<\/p>\n<p>Speaker: Pastor Aaron Garcia<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2024_0121_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/><\/audio><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Romans 8:18-30 (ESV)<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Rom-8-18\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18\u00a0<\/sup>For I consider that the sufferings of this present time\u00a0are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28120\" class=\"text Rom-8-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup>For the creation waits with eager longing for\u00a0the revealing of the sons of God.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28121\" class=\"text Rom-8-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20\u00a0<\/sup>For the creation\u00a0was subjected to futility, not willingly, but\u00a0because of him who subjected it, in hope<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28122\" class=\"text Rom-8-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21\u00a0<\/sup>that\u00a0the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28123\" class=\"text Rom-8-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22\u00a0<\/sup>For we know that\u00a0the whole creation\u00a0has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28124\" class=\"text Rom-8-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23\u00a0<\/sup>And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have\u00a0the firstfruits of the Spirit,\u00a0groan inwardly as\u00a0we wait eagerly for adoption as sons,\u00a0the redemption of our bodies.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28125\" class=\"text Rom-8-24\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0in this hope we were saved. Now\u00a0hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28126\" class=\"text Rom-8-25\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25\u00a0<\/sup>But if we hope for what we do not see, we\u00a0wait for it with patience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-28127\" class=\"text Rom-8-26\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26\u00a0<\/sup>Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
