Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28648\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-30\"><sup class=\"versenum\">30\u00a0<\/sup>Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28649\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-31\"><sup class=\"versenum\">31\u00a0<\/sup>But\u00a0earnestly desire the higher gifts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text 1Cor-12-31\">And I will show you a still more excellent way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\"><span class=\"text 1Cor-13-1\"><span id=\"en-ESV-28660\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">1 <\/sup><\/span>If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28651\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-2\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2\u00a0<\/sup>And if I have\u00a0prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith,\u00a0so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28652\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3\u00a0<\/sup>If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,\u00a0but have not love, I gain nothing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-28653\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup>Love is patient and\u00a0kind; love\u00a0does not envy or boast; it\u00a0is not arrogant<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28654\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28655\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>it\u00a0does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but\u00a0rejoices with the truth.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28656\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,\u00a0endures all things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-28657\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28658\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0we know in part and we prophesy in part,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28659\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>but\u00a0when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28660\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-28661\" class=\"text 1Cor-13-12\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0now we see in a mirror dimly, but\u00a0then face to face.
