{"id":1483,"date":"2023-07-30T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-30T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1483"},"modified":"2023-07-21T19:08:47","modified_gmt":"2023-07-21T19:08:47","slug":"sermon20230730","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20230730\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearing &amp; Doing"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sermonNotes2023\">\n<p>2023 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: Matthew 7:15-27<\/p>\n<p>Speaker: Dr. Clement Yeung<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2023_0730_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Matthew 7:15-27<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Matt-7-15\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">15&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cWatch out for false prophets.&nbsp;They come to you in sheep\u2019s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23333\" class=\"text Matt-7-16\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">16&nbsp;<\/sup>By their fruit you will recognize them.&nbsp;Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23334\" class=\"text Matt-7-17\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17&nbsp;<\/sup>Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23335\" class=\"text Matt-7-18\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18&nbsp;<\/sup>A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23336\" class=\"text Matt-7-19\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19&nbsp;<\/sup>Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23337\" class=\"text Matt-7-20\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20&nbsp;<\/sup>Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text Matt-7-21\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cNot everyone who says to me, \u2018Lord, Lord,\u2019&nbsp;will enter the kingdom of heaven,&nbsp;but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23339\" class=\"text Matt-7-22\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22&nbsp;<\/sup>Many will say to me on that day,&nbsp;\u2018Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?\u2019<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-23340\" class=\"text Matt-7-23\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23&nbsp;<\/sup>Then I will tell them plainly, \u2018I never knew you.
