{"id":1477,"date":"2023-07-23T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-23T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1477"},"modified":"2023-07-17T15:07:19","modified_gmt":"2023-07-17T15:07:19","slug":"sermon20230723","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20230723\/","title":{"rendered":"Many Gifts, Same God"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sermonNotes2023\">\n<p>2023 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11<\/p>\n<p>Speaker: Ms. Roxanne Oduro<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2023_0723_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/><\/audio><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">1 Corinthians 12:1-11<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text 1Cor-11-17\"><sup class=\"versenum\">1 <\/sup><\/span><span class=\"text 1Cor-12-1\">Now about the gifts of the Spirit,\u00a0brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28637\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-2\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2\u00a0<\/sup>You know that when you were pagans,\u00a0somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28638\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, \u201cJesus be cursed,\u201d\u00a0and no one can say, \u201cJesus is Lord,\u201d\u00a0except by the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-28639\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit\u00a0distributes them.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28640\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28641\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone\u00a0it is the same God\u00a0at work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-28642\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28643\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom,\u00a0to another a message of knowledge\u00a0by means of the same Spirit,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28644\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>to another faith\u00a0by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing\u00a0by that one Spirit,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28645\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,\u00a0and to still another the interpretation of tongues.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-28646\" class=\"text 1Cor-12-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>All these are the work of one and the same Spirit,\u00a0and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2023 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 Speaker: Ms. Roxanne Oduro 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 1 Now about the gifts of the Spirit,\u00a0brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.\u00a02\u00a0You know that when you were pagans,\u00a0somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute &hellip;
