{"id":1365,"date":"2023-03-12T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-12T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1365"},"modified":"2023-03-07T19:21:02","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T19:21:02","slug":"sermon20230312","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20230312\/","title":{"rendered":"Breaking Spiritual Ground &#8211; Your Treasure"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sermonNotes2023\">\n<p>2023 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: Matthew 6:19-34 (ESV)<\/p>\n<p>Speaker: Pastor Aaron Garcia<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2023_0312_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/><\/audio><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Matthew 6:19-34 (ESV)<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Matt-6-19\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cDo not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust\u00a0destroy and where thieves\u00a0break in and steal,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23303\" class=\"text Matt-6-20\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20\u00a0<\/sup>but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23304\" class=\"text Matt-6-21\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21\u00a0<\/sup>For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-23305\" class=\"text Matt-6-22\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cThe eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23306\" class=\"text Matt-6-23\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23\u00a0<\/sup>but if\u00a0your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-23307\" class=\"text Matt-6-24\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cNo one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text Matt-6-25\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTherefore I tell you,\u00a0do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23309\" class=\"text Matt-6-26\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26\u00a0<\/sup>Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.\u00a0Are you not of more value than they?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23310\" class=\"text Matt-6-27\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">27\u00a0<\/sup>And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23311\" class=\"text Matt-6-28\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">28\u00a0<\/sup>And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23312\" class=\"text Matt-6-29\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">29\u00a0<\/sup>yet I tell you,\u00a0even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23313\" class=\"text Matt-6-30\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">30\u00a0<\/sup>But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you,\u00a0O you of little faith?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23314\" class=\"text Matt-6-31\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">31\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore do not be anxious, saying, \u2018What shall we eat?\u2019 or \u2018What shall we drink?\u2019 or \u2018What shall we wear?\u2019<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23315\" class=\"text Matt-6-32\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">32\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0the Gentiles seek after all these things, and\u00a0your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-23316\" class=\"text Matt-6-33\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">33\u00a0<\/sup>But\u00a0seek first\u00a0the kingdom of God and his righteousness,\u00a0and all these things will be added to you.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-ESV-23317\" class=\"text Matt-6-34\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">34\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cTherefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself.
