Jones Lee<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2023_0219_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mark 2:1-12<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Gen-1-24\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><sup class=\"versenum\">1 <\/sup><\/span><span class=\"text Mark-2-1\">A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24263\" class=\"text Mark-2-2\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2&nbsp;<\/sup>They gathered in such large numbers&nbsp;that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24264\" class=\"text Mark-2-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3&nbsp;<\/sup>Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man,&nbsp;carried by four of them.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24265\" class=\"text Mark-2-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4&nbsp;<\/sup>Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24266\" class=\"text Mark-2-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5&nbsp;<\/sup>When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cSon, your sins are forgiven.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-24267\" class=\"text Mark-2-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6&nbsp;<\/sup>Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves,<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24268\" class=\"text Mark-2-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cWhy does this fellow talk like that? He\u2019s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-24269\" class=\"text Mark-2-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8&nbsp;<\/sup>Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cWhy are you thinking these things?<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24270\" class=\"text Mark-2-9\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9&nbsp;<\/sup>Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, \u2018Your sins are forgiven,\u2019 or to say, \u2018Get up, take your mat and walk\u2019?<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24271\" class=\"text Mark-2-10\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10&nbsp;<\/sup>But I want you to know that the Son of Man&nbsp;has authority on earth to forgive sins.\u201d<\/span>&nbsp;So he said to the man,<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24272\" class=\"text Mark-2-11\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cI tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.\u201d<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-24273\" class=\"text Mark-2-12\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12&nbsp;<\/sup>He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all.
