{"id":1250,"date":"2022-11-27T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-27T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1250"},"modified":"2022-12-02T21:54:29","modified_gmt":"2022-12-02T21:54:29","slug":"sermon20221127","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20221127\/","title":{"rendered":"A Surprised Mission Movement"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"sermonNotes2022\">\n<p>2022 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: Acts 11:19-26<br \/>\nSpeaker: Dr. Patrick Fung<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_1127_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>Acts 11:19-26<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Acts-11-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19&nbsp;<\/sup>Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed&nbsp;traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch,&nbsp;spreading the word only among Jews.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-27328\" class=\"text Acts-11-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20&nbsp;<\/sup>Some of them, however, men from Cyprus&nbsp;and Cyrene,&nbsp;went to Antioch&nbsp;and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news&nbsp;about the Lord Jesus.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-27329\" class=\"text Acts-11-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21&nbsp;<\/sup>The Lord\u2019s hand was with them,&nbsp;and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-27330\" class=\"text Acts-11-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22&nbsp;<\/sup>News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas&nbsp;to Antioch.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-27331\" class=\"text Acts-11-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23&nbsp;<\/sup>When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done,&nbsp;he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-27332\" class=\"text Acts-11-24\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24&nbsp;<\/sup>He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit&nbsp;and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-27333\" class=\"text Acts-11-25\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Barnabas went to Tarsus&nbsp;to look for Saul,<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-27334\" class=\"text Acts-11-26\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26&nbsp;<\/sup>and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people.
