{"id":1159,"date":"2022-08-28T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-28T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1159"},"modified":"2022-08-17T23:47:58","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T23:47:58","slug":"sermon20220828","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20220828\/","title":{"rendered":"Real Life Worship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span hidden=\"\">Real Life Worship<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"sermonNotes2022\">\n<p>2022 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: Daniel 3:16-26<br \/>\nSpeaker: Dr. Clement Yeung<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_0828_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>Daniel 3:16-26<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-NIV-21824\" class=\"text Dan-3-16\"><sup class=\"versenum\">16&nbsp;<\/sup>Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego&nbsp;replied to him, \u201cKing Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21825\" class=\"text Dan-3-17\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17&nbsp;<\/sup>If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver&nbsp;us from it, and he will deliver&nbsp;us<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-21825c\" data-link=\"[<a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-21825c&quot; title=&quot;See footnote c&quot;>c<\/a>]&#8221;>[<a title=\"See footnote c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Daniel+3&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-21825c\">c<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;from Your Majesty\u2019s hand.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21826\" class=\"text Dan-3-18\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18&nbsp;<\/sup>But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-21827\" class=\"text Dan-3-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven&nbsp;times hotter than usual<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21828\" class=\"text Dan-3-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20&nbsp;<\/sup>and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego&nbsp;and throw them into the blazing furnace.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21829\" class=\"text Dan-3-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21&nbsp;<\/sup>So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21830\" class=\"text Dan-3-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22&nbsp;<\/sup>The king\u2019s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-21831\" class=\"text Dan-3-23\"><sup class=\"versenum\">23&nbsp;<\/sup>and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-21832\" class=\"text Dan-3-24\"><sup class=\"versenum\">24&nbsp;<\/sup>Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, \u201cWeren\u2019t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text Dan-3-24\">They replied, \u201cCertainly, Your Majesty.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-21833\" class=\"text Dan-3-25\"><sup class=\"versenum\">25&nbsp;<\/sup>He said, \u201cLook! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-21834\" class=\"text Dan-3-26\"><sup class=\"versenum\">26&nbsp;<\/sup>Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, \u201cShadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of the Most High God,&nbsp;come out!
