Michael Lau<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_0703_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>John 17:1-14<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span class=\"text John-21-15\"><span class=\"text Acts-2-46\"><span class=\"text Acts-2-42\"><sup class=\"versenum\">1<\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"text John-17-1\">After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-17-1\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"woj\">\u201cFather, the hour has come.\u00a0Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-26762\" class=\"text John-17-2\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2\u00a0<\/sup>For you granted him authority over all people\u00a0that he might give eternal life\u00a0to all those you have given him.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-26763\" class=\"text John-17-3\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3\u00a0<\/sup>Now this is eternal life: that they know you,\u00a0the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-26764\" class=\"text John-17-4\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup>I have brought you glory\u00a0on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: revert;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-26765\" class=\"text John-17-5\" style=\"font-size: revert;\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>And now, Father, glorify me\u00a0in your presence with the glory I had with you\u00a0before the world began.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"left-1 child-first-line-1\">\n<p><span class=\"text John-17-6\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cI have revealed you<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-26766a\" data-link=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-26766a&quot; title=&quot;See footnote a&quot;&gt;a&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+17&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-26766a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0to those whom you gave me\u00a0out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26767\" class=\"text John-17-7\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26768\" class=\"text John-17-8\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>For I gave them the words you gave me\u00a0and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you,\u00a0and they believed that you sent me.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26769\" class=\"text John-17-9\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>I pray for them.\u00a0I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me,\u00a0for they are yours.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26770\" class=\"text John-17-10\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.\u00a0And glory has come to me through them.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26771\" class=\"text John-17-11\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,\u00a0and I am coming to you.\u00a0Holy Father, protect them by the power of<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-26771b\" data-link=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-26771b&quot; title=&quot;See footnote b&quot;&gt;b&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+17&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-26771b\">b<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one\u00a0as we are one.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-26772\" class=\"text John-17-12\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12\u00a0<\/sup>While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"font-size: 0.625em; line-height: normal; position: relative; vertical-align: text-top; top: auto; display: inline;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-26772c\" data-link=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-26772c&quot; title=&quot;See footnote c&quot;&gt;c&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+17&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-26772c\">c<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0that name you gave me.
