{"id":1077,"date":"2022-06-19T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-19T09:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/?p=1077"},"modified":"2022-06-14T15:47:55","modified_gmt":"2022-06-14T15:47:55","slug":"sermon20220619","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/YM\/sermon20220619\/","title":{"rendered":"You must follow Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span hidden=\"\">You must follow Me<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"sermonNotes2022\">\n<p>2022 Church Theme: Advancing God\u2019s Kingdom in the New Normalcy<br \/>\nScripture: John 21:15-25<br \/>\nSpeaker: Mr. Laval Yau<\/p>\n<div class=\"audio-container\"><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.ca\/mp3\/English\/2022_0619_E.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\"><\/audio><\/div>\n<p><u><strong>John 21:15-25<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<span class=\"text John-21-15\"><sup class=\"versenum\">15&nbsp;<\/sup>When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cSimon son of John, do you love me more than these?\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-15\"><span class=\"woj\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"text John-21-15\">\u201cYes, Lord,\u201d he said, \u201cyou know that I love you.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-15\">Jesus said,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cFeed my lambs.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26915\" class=\"text John-21-16\"><sup class=\"versenum\">16&nbsp;<\/sup>Again Jesus said,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cSimon son of John, do you love me?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-16\">He answered, \u201cYes, Lord, you know that I love you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-16\">Jesus said,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cTake care of my sheep.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26916\" class=\"text John-21-17\"><sup class=\"versenum\">17&nbsp;<\/sup>The third time he said to him,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cSimon son of John, do you love me?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-17\">Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cDo you love me?\u201d<\/span>&nbsp;He said, \u201cLord, you know all things;&nbsp;you know that I love you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text John-21-17\">Jesus said,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cFeed my sheep.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26917\" class=\"text John-21-18\"><span class=\"woj\"><sup class=\"versenum\">18&nbsp;<\/sup>Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.\u201d<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26918\" class=\"text John-21-19\"><sup class=\"versenum\">19&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death&nbsp;by which Peter would glorify God.&nbsp;Then he said to him,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cFollow me!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26919\" class=\"text John-21-20\"><sup class=\"versenum\">20&nbsp;<\/sup>Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved&nbsp;was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, \u201cLord, who is going to betray you?\u201d)<\/span>&nbsp;<span id=\"en-NIV-26920\" class=\"text John-21-21\"><sup class=\"versenum\">21&nbsp;<\/sup>When Peter saw him, he asked, \u201cLord, what about him?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-26921\" class=\"text John-21-22\"><sup class=\"versenum\">22&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus answered,&nbsp;<span class=\"woj\">\u201cIf I want him to remain alive until I return,&nbsp;what is that to you?
