Vote Against Summer Jobs Attestation – Churches and other charitable organizations that disagree with the attestation on moral or religious grounds have all been denied funding for the Canadian Summer Jobs grant. MP Karen Vecchio, along with MP John Brassard, introduced a motion in the House of Commons to challenge the grant attestation, which will be discussed tomorrow (3/19) . Time is of essence! At our church website, please go to “Others / Social Concerns”. It will take less than 1 minute to complete the Online Vote. We encourage brothers and sisters to show your support against the attestation by doing both of the following:
1. Online vote, and
2. In writing, by copying the sample letter (attached here in .docx or .pdf file format), and emailing to your local riding MP asking to support the motion.
